Moya calms things down:

Moya calms things down: "The idea is to be there next week".

For several days now, many Spanish media have been reporting that Rafael Nadal has taken the decision to come to Paris to play in the French Open one last time. Although coherent, in view of recent comments from the Nadal clan, this announcement may have been made a little prematurely.

Indeed, while visiting his old school, Rafael Nadal's coach Carlos Moya was asked about the subject. Deliberately restrained, the Spanish coach pointed out that the information is not yet official. While he and 'Rafa' are doing everything possible to ensure that they will be able to compete in Paris, it is not yet certain that the Spaniard, a 14-time winner of the event, will appear at Porte d'Auteuil: "The idea is to be at Roland-Garros next week, but we haven't decided anything yet. We're taking things one step at a time, trying to pick up the pace. He's come a long way, with various injuries over the last few months. It's clear that he's lacking a bit of competitive rhythm. Since Barcelona, he's improved both physically and mentally, but above all he now has certain guarantees of being able to hold a match in five sets. That's the most important thing."

He needs more variety in his play in my opinion, all I see him do is hit hard and when that doesn't work he gets mad with himself.

Maybe.....everything is possible. Who knows which Novak will show up on court. The only thing that we can be 100% sure .......The GOAT will still remain The GOAT, regardless of this match outcome.
